Sedation Dentistry

Queen Creek DentistToo many Americans avoid the dentist because they are afraid of the pain or discomfort that may come from sitting in the dental chair. If you have put off dental care that is important for your health and confidence, it’s time to see a qualified sedation dentist.

Dr. Pardazi is happy to provide sedation dentistry so that he can help you eliminate your dental anxiety forever. Sedation dentistry may be well-suited to patients who:

  • Have dental anxiety or dental phobia
  • Have had poor dental experiences in the past
  • Have an overactive gag reflex
  • Find it difficult to sit still for long periods of time
  • Would like to undergo several dental procedures in one appointment

Sedation dentistry allows Dr. Parazi to ensure that your much-needed treatment is free of pain and anxiety.

Although many dental practices only offer one form of dental sedation, or no options at all, we believe it is important to offer several different choices for our patients. At our practice, you can choose the sedation type and level of sedation that is best for you.

At Desert Creek Dental, you and your dentist can decide between the following forms of sedation dentistry.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is administered through a small breathing mask that is placed over the nose. Nitrous oxide will allow you to relax completely without falling asleep. You will be able to respond to your dentist’s questions and maintain your natural reflexes.

Oral Sedation

Oral conscious sedation will reduce anxiety or discomfort associated with dental work. All you have to do is take a pill prescribed to you by Dr. Pardazi. This anti-anxiety medication will cause you to feel drowsy and calm during your procedure. Our dentist will recommend the medication best suited to your overall health and preferred sedation level.

IV Sedation

IV sedation allows for a higher level of sedation for those patients with more serious dental fear. The patient will sleep throughout their procedure, but will be closely monitored by our dental professionals. We will reduce or increase your level of sedation based on your bodily responses.

With our help, we know that you can overcome dental anxiety and receive the dental care you want or need. Call to schedule your worry-free consultation with the friendly Dr. Pardazi today!
